Well it’s been fun. But now I gotta dig my keys out of the bag for when I come home in the morning tomorrow. Maybe I can bring some of the warm weather with me. (at Santa Monica, California)
Got this tailored at @levis in Sam Fransisco, at their pop up Tailor Shop. Too cool. (at Levis, 1155 Battery St)
Recently my mother went down to El Salvador and stayed with her my mother, my grandma keep UP, for a couple of months to repair the house and clean it up because unfortunately they are going to sell it. My mom came back to the states, Florida, and with her she brought some food and of course she sent that to me by mail. Horchata, yum. But as well as that powdery goodness she also sent two spider-man toys that I must’ve had in El Salvador while I visited when I was 10, 2004 I believe.
Now, I have a very strong, very wired, but endearing (if I do say so myself) bond with my toys. Being an only child and growing up with no other children around, toys were really the only thing that I had. They captivated my imagination, allow me to explore play, all by myself. I’m not sad about it, in fact i miss it.
That may be the reason why it’s so hard for me to throw away a lot of my toys, because in a weird, sad, pathetic, but loving way they were my friends.
And this guy right here, after a decade and many miles, has returned to me. You can see the love i had in him in his wear and broken fingers. Now he’s on my refrigerator, and will hopefully follow me around for many years to come.
That’s my story for the day.
