Its always raining

usually I mind but i don’t

ripples are raw as they interrupt the smooth surfaces

who am I to say they’re wrong?

You notice they all float away

your worries

floating

Its a continuum

with or with out you

puddles fill to their brims

and they burst out on one side

they form streams and create maps

borders to imaginations

and as you grow older the rain becomes more and more gray

you no longer jump in the puddles but over them

who could blame you, you don’t want your shoes all damp.

You watch records spin and it looks like a skating ring

round and round and round

the rain hits the window

you hit the hay

your pillow is softest in the morning

hardest in the middle of the night

It’s always raining and I don’t mind
